A representative of the classical St.-Petersburg academical school of art. Was born in 1974 on the Island of Sakhalin. Has graduated from the Academy of Arts, easel painting workshop under direction of Prof. Sokolov. His instructors were Kirillova, Belov, Govorkov, Mogilevtsev, Rudnev and of course his father, a graphic artist well known in St.-Petersburg, Datsuk V.
His diploma titled «The Wretched", devoted to the problem of poverty and human despair has provoked a strong resonance with the public and the State Art Board. In 2003 this work has represented St.-Petersburg at the All-Russian exhibition of the best diploma projects.
The works of this painter are being shown in Russia and abroad since 1993. His first personal exhibition took place in St.-Petersburg in 1995. His works can be found in galleries and private collections in France, Italy, the USA, Germany, Israel, China, Japan, Korea, Australia, Malaysia, Finland, Slovakia, Macedonia and Poland.
The painter’s style in penetrated with romance, his brush can find nobility and beauty in what seams to be a banal motive. His portraits of the contemporaries are vivid images that open up the inner world of the models. Many well-know painters, film director, foreign diplomats and politicians have posed for him.
The painter has set to continue in his works the best traditions of the Russian classical art, at the same time he finds new topics depicting today’s reality with the help of a beautiful and open minded way of realism.
